Kriti's Mimi Release To Be Delayed

Kriti Sanon’s Mimi Director Not Yet Ready To Risk Shooting For The Remaining 5 Day Schedule

Laxman Utekar, a cinematographer turned director is all pepped up for Kriti Sanon starrer Mimi. The team is yet to complete the shoot of one song and after which the post-production of the film will start in full-swing.

The film is inspired by Samruddhi Porey-directed movie Mala Aai Vhaaychya. This Marathi film also won the 2011 National Award for Best Marathi Film.

Laxman doesn't want to risk exposing his cast and crew with the raising cases in Maharashtra and the shoot will not resume despite just a five day schedule remaining. He told Mid-Day, "We have close to five days shoot left, including the filming of a song and some scenes. But we don't plan to resume shoot anytime soon. The number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra is increasing with every passing day. Unless that comes under control, I don't want to call my team on the set."

The film based on surrogacy was scheduled for a July release but will be delayed indefinitely now as the entire post-production work still remains even after the five days shooting is complete.
