Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor To Resume Shooting From This Date; Only A Skeletal Crew To Be Present

After a break of over 5 long months due to the coronavirus pandemic, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are all set to resume shooting for their much awaited film Laal Singh Chaddha. Loosely based on the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, the comedy drama was supposed to hit theatres on Christmas this year. However, it will now be releasing in theatres a year later. Well according to latest reports, the actors will resume shooting in the city from 7th September and Aamir is making sure that all necessary precautions are taken, especially because Bebo is pregnant.

In a report shared by Mid Day, a source was quoted saying, “As the producer, Aamir feels responsible for the safety of his crew, and hence, has appointed a special team that will monitor the safety measures being adopted on the set. The cast and crew will undergo COVID test every week, apart from the daily temperature and oximeter checks. Considering Kareena is pregnant, Aamir Khan has instructed Advait (Chandan, director) that only a skeletal crew be present on set when she is scheduled to shoot.”

The source further stated that Aamir is certain that he wants to begin with indoor shoots. Hence, a set of a house has been erected at the Goregaon studio, where Aamir and Kareena will shoot their joint scenes after which Aamir will move on to Vrundavan Studios, where a huge set of a military hospital is being constructed. The source added, “This leg is crucial to the narrative as the unit will shoot the portions where his character Laal Singh Chaddha is seen returning from the war.”

Earlier reports had stated that Kareena’s baby bump will be concealed using VFX. Also, the actress has 100 days of shoot left and is expected to wrap up in October.
