Laal Singh Chaddha: Mona Singh opens up about reuniting with her 3 Idiots co-stars Kareena and Aamir

Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh will reunite on-screen in Laal Singh Chaddha after 12 long years. The actors had earlier worked together in Rajkumar Hirani’s super hit film 3 Idiots and had successfully won our hearts with their wonderfully portrayed characters and chemistry. Well in 3 Idiots, Mona had played the role of Kareena’s elder sister. Sadly, this time she does not have any scenes with Bebo. However, the two actresses did spend lots of time together on sets.

In an interview with Zoom, Mona opened up about her time with Kareena on the sets of Laal Singh Chaddha. She was quoted saying, “We talked about marriage. I remember telling her that I was getting married and she was so excited. She was like, "Arre waah... I’m so happy for you. Look at us, it’s been 10 years. In 2009 we shot 3 Idiots together and today, we are at Laal Singh Chadha. We were remembering those days and talking about her marriage and her and her son...”

The Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin actress went on to call Laal Singh Chaddha the most beautiful journey for her because working with Aamir was ‘absolutely magical’. Mona shared, “I feel very lucky that this is my second project with Aamir. It rarely happens to people in their career. I feel like the chosen one.”

For the uninitiated, Laal Singh Chaddha is an adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump. The comedy drama is scheduled to hit theatres this Christmas.
