Laal Singh Chaddha Would Not Have Happened If Aamir Khan Did Not Come On Board, Here’s Why

All the Aamir Khan fans who are still reeling from the after-effects of the disaster that was Thugs Of Hindoostan, can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Aamir Khan would next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha which is the official remake of Tom Hank’s cult classic Forrest Gump.

But did you know that the deal did not happen all too smoothly? For years filmmakers have been trying to acquire the rights of Forrest Gump for a record, but the actual makers of the film had a condition that they would sell the rights of the remake only if Aamir Khan would play the titular part. It actually took 5 years for Aamir and his team to acquire the rights of the film.

 Advait Chandan who has directed Secret Superstar would be directing the film and the buzz is Kareena Kapoor has been finalized to play the lead. This would be the third collaboration between Aamir and Kareena after 3 Idiots and Talaash. The film would be releasing on Christmas next year and might even clash with Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey.
