Mahesh Babu, Vijay Deverakonda, Anushka Shetty, Nayanthara - Will They Make Their Bollywood Debut Soon?
These South Stars To Debut In Bollywood Soon?
There are girls from North who have gone ahead and made a career down South. Then occasionally there are South boys who have tried their luck up North in Bollywood . However, latter especially is pretty much far and between. In fact there are quite a few immensely successful names from down South who have not yet been enticed by Bollywood. These are the actors and actresses whom we would love to see in Bollywood. Let's take a look.
Heroes we would love to see in Hindi films
Mahesh Babu is one actor who would have the top producers lining up for him if he gives the slightest of indications around joining Bollywood. His Pokiri helped revival of Salman Khan 's career with Wanted . Dubbed versions of Businessman and Dookudu are highly popular. He is at the top of the game after Maharshi and Bharat Ane Nenu. His absence is Bollywood's loss.
He became an overnight sensation when his Arjun Reddy became a good success down South. What helped further was the instant release of the film on digital platform that made many stand up and notice what he had to offer. Though Vijay Deverakonda is said to be in talks with Hindi filmmakers, one waits to hear a formal announcement soon. He deserves to be here.
A veteran in the business, Vijay has surprisingly not been bitten by Bollywood bug even though he has been wooed by many top filmmakers from Bollywood. Save for a blink-and-miss appearance alongside Akshay Kumar in 'Chinta Ta' [ Rowdy Rathore ], the star of biggies like Mersal, Thuppakki, Kaththi and Sarkar is yet to be seen in Bollywood. He is needed here for sure!
In the dubbed films arena, Allu Arjun is quite some hit property. His films like Race Gurram, Julayi, Arya and Arya 2 amongst others have enjoyed quite a few re-runs in the satellite world where their Hindi versions are being shown. Moreover, with the advent of digital streaming, he is gaining further all-India popularity. Allu Arjun has age and time on his side to step up soon.
N.T. Rama Rao Jr.
His Temper was the template for Ranveer Singh 's Simmba. Surprisingly, other than the core one line theme and four scenes, the two films were entirely different. Nonetheless, N.T. Rama Rao Jr.'s films are known across the country with the more popular ones being Temper, Janatha Garage and Brindaavanam. One waits to see if he would enter Bollywood sooner or later.
Heroines we would love to see in Hindi films
Just like Mahesh Babu, even Anushka Shetty has to just a faint nod of approval and there would be filmmakers lining up for her. Though she has already gained huge popularity with dubbed version of her Baahubali series turning out to be All Time Blockbusters, the veteran of 50 odd films has Rudhramadevi, Singam series and Vikramarkudu adding on to her superb repertoire.
She is cute, attractive and charming, and above all a very good performer too, as evidenced in Eega, Janatha Garage, Theri and Ye Maaya Chesave. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been a hugely popular actress down South with 40 odd films to her name. Though she had a special appearance in Ekk Deewana Tha, she has surprisingly not entered the Bollywood studios after that.
One of the top actresses down South, Nayanthara has been a veteran of more than 50 films. That is a very long time for a heroine from down South to not try her luck in Bollywood. However, due to some reasons, she has never been inclined towards Bollywood even though her dubbed films are quite popular in the satellite circuits. Hope she finds a worthy role soon.
Amala Paul is another actress who has been quite prolific down South. That said, though she has done around 30 films out there, not many have actually found much attention at an all-India level. What works in her favor is the fact that she comes with naturally good looks and is also an able performer. One waits to see if there is something enticing that comes her way.
Nithya Menen is a known name down South and was waiting for the right opportunity to step into the Bollywood arena. She has finally found one in the form of Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal. Though this is an ensemble starrer with oher leading ladies in the form of Vidya Balan , Sonakshi Sinha , Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari , she is expected to make her presence felt.
