Manoj Bajpayee reveals he's been threatened & bullied by callers early in his career: 'They used to call at odd hours'

The Family Man star Manoj Bajpayee has had to overcome lots of hurdles in his journey to stardom in the film industry. The actor reveals that early on in his career, he used to get many calls where he was bullied, threatened and even pranked in the middle of the night.

Manoj revealed he was one to pick up any and all calls early on and would often end up falling prey to such calls. “In my earlier days, I used to pick up every call and they used to call at odd hours like 12.30-1.30 am. Sometimes people used to bully me, sometimes they would have fun at my cost, sometimes they used to threaten me because they were drunk and were just having fun. Those were the early days,” he told Zoom Digital in an interview.

The actor, however, learned how to deal with such miscreants by avoiding his phone completely post 7:30 in the evening. Never mind calls, actors these days also have to deal with trolls online who are far more in number than prank callers.

Manoj Bajpayee also recently reacted to comedian Sunil Pal calling him ‘badtameez’ and ‘gira hua aadmi’. The Dail 100 actor reacted to the comedian’s remark and told Hindustan Times, “I understand people don’t have jobs. I completely understand. I have been in this situation. But in these kinds of situations, people should meditate.”
