Milap Zaveri: Kabir Singh Is ‘The DDLJ Of This Generation’

Marjaavaan Director Milap Zaveri Feels Kabir Singh Is ‘The DDLJ Of This Generation’ And Critics Are Hypocritical!

Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan is all set to hit the screens next week. His films are known for the OTT dialogues and the masala that is put in generous dosage, but there is no denying that it does appeal to a section of the audience. His last film, Satyameva Jayate was a hit, so much so that a second part will also be out next year. While promoting Marjaavaan, he addressed his issue with the critics and said that he felt that Kabir Singh was targeted unfairly.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the director said that he has no bad feelings for any critic, even those who do not like his films. He revealed that he would prefer a zero from critics and his film running Houseful, not the other way round. When the interviewer asked him about Kabir Singh and its criticism, he echoed what Shahid had earlier said and told that he too felt that it was unfairly targeted. He said that he feels Kabir Singh is the present generation’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge when it comes to portraying relationships.

Milap then went on to say that he feels critics are harsh while judging Bollywood but when the same thing is done in the English language, they applaud it! He even said that it is hypocritical of critics to judge the films this way. He said that when one id naughty or aggressive in English, it’s cool, but it turns bad if that’s done in Hindi.

Well, quite a few big statements made there, Mr. Zaveri!  What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments.
