Mayday: Ajay Devgn-Amitabh Bachchan Starrer Finds The Leading Lady In Rakul Preet Singh; Read Details

It was just a few days back that Ajay Devgn announced his upcoming film, Mayday, where he would be collaborating with his Satyagraha co-star, Amitabh Bachchan. The film would also be directed by the actor himself. The details of the leading lady of the film was not known. But that was until now. The makers seem to have found the lead heroine and their search has ended in Ajay's De De Pyaar De co-star, Rakul Preet Singh.

According to a report in Mid Day, Rakul will play a co-pilot in Ajay-Amitabh starrer human drama. Confirming the news, the actress said, "When I decided to be an actor, I — like all other aspiring actors — dreamt of working with Mr. Bachchan someday. I am glad that this film will help me realise my dream. I am thrilled to work with Ajay sir again, who will not only be my co-star but also my director."

Sharing more details about Mayday, a source from the creative team was quoted saying, "The film is inspired by a real-life episode, which has been further dramatised for the screen. Come December, Ajay plans to shoot it in Hyderabad over a start-to-finish schedule."

The film would be ready for release by 2021 end. Ajay Devgn has a few more projects at hand that are almost ready for release. While Bhuj will release on OTT, Maidaan will be releasing next year. He will also be a part of a superhero film by YRF, besides having a cameo appearance in RRR.
