Mission Lion: Jagan Shakti Talks About Teaming With Akshay Kumar Again, Says 'When He's Around, Things Will Work Out'

Akshay Kumar had been on a film signing spree since last year. The actor had even wrapped up almost 5 films between August to March and had signed a couple of others. It had also been reported that Akshay would be teaming up with his Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti for a film that has tentatively been titled Mission Lion. While there has been no official word on it, Jagan Shakti has now confirmed the news.

In a recent interview with Mid Day, he opened up about the film and what plans he has for it. Talking about the plot, he revealed, “This film has elements of science dominating the narrative. It is a fictional story, but is inspired by true events.” He maintained the mystery without revealing any further.

The film will go on floors only by 2022 and Jagan Shakti added, “We want to shoot the film across four countries. But at the moment, even doing a recce in any country [is not a possibility]. So, we’ll have to wait it out with a smile. Besides, Akshay has to wrap up his prior commitments before we can collaborate.”

Opening up about working with Akshay Kumar again, he said, “He is punctual, and tends to finish his films before time. I have worked with him on PadMan [2018] as well, as an associate director. He is so lively; when he is around, we know that things will work out.”

Well, we are eagerly waiting for this one as well!
