Nayanthara comes on-board for Atlee’s next starring Shah Rukh Khan; here’s what drew her to the film

Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has been away from the big screen since Aanand L. Rai’s 2018 film Zero. Fans have eagerly been waiting to see him shine on-screen again and much to their delight, the actor began work on his next film Pathan earlier this year. Well, soon after wrapping up Pathan, SRK is expected to take Atlee’s next project on floors. Last month it was reported that South beauty Nayanthara is being considered for the female lead’s role.

Latest news now suggests that she has been locked opposite Shah Rukh in the film. In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source was quoted saying, “Both Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan have been in conversation with Nayanthara for a while now and things have finally fallen in place. The actress has come on board the action thriller and the paperwork too has been done.” The source further stated that Atlee’s directorial is being planned as a proper Pan-India project in the out and out commercial film space.

While Shah Rukh will be seen in a double role, not much is known about his leading lady’s on-screen character. Talking about the same, the source stated, “It’s a well sketched out female lead and that’s something that drew Nayanthara to the film.” It has also been revealed that SRK will sport a different look in the film, but he wants to carry his Pathan avatar forward in Atlee’s film as he is all bulked up and is apparently in the best shape of his career, physique-wise.
