    ND Studio Owner Forgoes Rent As The Arjun Rampal Starrer ‘The Battle Of Koregaon’ Sets Remain Unused

    Nitin Desai is the owner of ND studios wherein a huge set has been constructed for the Arjun Rampal starrer period drama 'The Battle of Koregaon'. The Raigad fort has been recreated for the film but unfortunately, the entire set has remains unused courtesy of the ongoing lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

    And the owner of the set revealed to Mid-day that he has therefore decided to forego the rent of the unused set. In the report Desai has been quoted as saying, “I am not the only one suffering losses at this point, the entire world is. So how can I expect them to pay the rent when everything has come to a standstill? I will also appeal to other studios to follow the same practice." 

    He further went on to reveal that despite the bad situation and the losses incurred by him, he hasn’t stopped paying his employees.


    Desai has also reportedly stated that the studio had many other ongoing projects when the lockdown began and that for the Arjun Rampal starrer a huge battlefield and three villages had been created. Besides that project another web series was supposed to be shot in the same studio for which a haveli (palace) was recreated and also the construction of two other huge sets were underway for two shows of Zee and Star,
