Neena Gupta And Gajraj Rao Join The Cast Of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is remembered as one of those films of 2017 that dealt with an issue of erectile dysfunction in the most light-hearted manner possible but was still successful in driving home the point. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, the film went on to become a sleeper hit. Next year too, Ayushmann consolidated his position in the industry with films like Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho. And even though he won accolades for his performance in the later, it cannot be called his film entirely because of Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta's performances, which were top notch.

Now, what if we say that the trio- Ayushmann, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao would come together once again? Well, hold your hearts because the three will team up once again for Subh Mangal Zyada Savdhan.

Confirming the news, producer Anand L. Rai told a reputed daily, "With Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, we chose to explore a novel subject in an unusual and unexpected setting. And a story like this needed talents like Neena ji and Gajraj Rao."

Another source said that even though the trio would be together, they will look nothing like they did in Badhaai Ho. He said, "They play a couple in this film too but will be seen in a completely different avatar from Badhaai Ho. Featuring another extended family and a light-hearted take on deeply divisive issues, the film will tackle the subject of homosexuality in a light- hearted manner."

Well, we were already excited about the project because of the subject and Ayushmann Khurrana's presence in it. Now that Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao has joined too, we just cannot wait for the project. The film will be directed by Hitesh Kewalya, who wrote Subh Mangal Savdhan. The film will release on Valentine's Day 2020 and will clash with Imtiaz Ali's Aaj Kal starring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan.
