Neena Gupta Reacts To Playing Kanwaljit Singh's Mother In Sardar Ka Grandson After Playing His Wife In The 90's Show Saans

Neena Gupta and actor Kanwaljit Singh reunited once again in the Netflix film Sardar Ka Grandson after their 90’s TV show Saans. The only difference this time was that the duo instead of playing a couple like they did on the show was cast as mother and son. Neena who plays the 90-year-old matriarch in the family drama responded to being cast as Kanwaljit Singh’s mother in the movie in a recent interview.

Seeing Neena and Kanwaljit in the film a user on social media expressed disbelief on seeing this duo playing mother and son and wrote: “Don’t tell me Kanwaljit Singh is Neena Gupta’s son in the movie? They were co-stars in the 90s. SMH.”

Neena who had directed Saans in 1998 and played Kanwaljit’s wife on the Star Plus show reacted to the disbelief of the user over her playing the veteran actor’s mother and told Bollywood Hungama: “Bhaiya yehi toh acting ka maza hai. Kal jo aapka lover tha woh aapka beta hai, yehi toh maza hai (See, that’s the fun of acting; someone who was your lover is now your son. It’s fun).”

Sardar Ka Grandson shows the 61 year old actress play a 90 year old who has one last wish to once again see her home in Pakistan and Arjun who plays her grandson decides to make her dream come true.
