Neha Kakkar’s Peene Lage Ho: Rohanpreet’s voice is magical, but Jasmin and his acting chops are over the top

Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh are super adorable and it’s a treat for fans each time they collaborate for music videos. Well, their latest track Peene Lage Ho dropped today. This time, Neha has directed the video instead of starring in it. The song, helmed by Rohanpreet, features him alongside Bigg Boss 14 star Jasmin Bhasin. Makers dropped an interesting teaser yesterday which left fans with really high expectations. However, the song is very different from what we saw yesterday.

Rohanpreet looks heartbroken as he sits in a bar. When his ex lover Jasmin enters the club with her husband, it’s like salt in his wounds. We then see how happy they were together but now Jasmin is miserable. While Rohanpreet’s voice is angelic, the music video isn’t exactly a treat for the audience. The story is very confusing because till the very end you don’t really understand if Jasmin’s character ever loved Rohanpreet or not. Also, why did she shoot him when he jumped in to save her from her abusive husband?

The acting chops, on the other hand, are extremely over the top. It is like an overdose of expressions and the last scene will leave you in splits instead of making you emotional. However, the song is pretty good! Kudos to Rohanpreet. We can’t wait to hear his next track.
