Neha Sharma clarifies her comment about not watching Ananya's films: 'Don’t watch too many hindi films including my own'

Aafat-e-Ishq actress Neha Sharma made headlines a few days ago for saying she has not found the promos of Anaya Panday’s films exciting enough to be motivated to watch her films. Neha has now reacted to these headlines on Twitter and clarified that she doesn’t lots of Hindi films in general including her own as her statement took a controversial turn.

In a tweet, Neha wrote, “For all who love cat fights and creating a controversy out of nothing pls let me clarify Ananya Pandey is a young upcoming talented actor with great personality and potential .I don’t watch too many hindi films including my own so Haven’t watched her films and that’s that.” She followed it up with another tweet addressing these headlines, “Now pls stop tagging me in stupid articles.”

Neha was asked during an interview with RJ Sidharth Kannan what comes to her mind when Ananya’s name is taken. “Honestly, no offence, but I don’t watch too many films and I don’t think there has been a film of hers that I wanted to see because I do watch promos religiously and whatever promo really excites me, I go watch the film. But none of her promos have really excited me to go watch her film,” she told the radio host.

“Of course, she is just up-and-coming. Maybe, in another five years, she will have something that I will want to watch but not as of now,” the actress had added.

Ananya Panday was recently in the news for the raid conducted by The Narcotics Control Bureau at her residence in connection with Aryan Khan’s arrest in a cruise ship drug bust. The actress resumed work on her film Liger recently after two days of questioning by the anti-drug agency a few days ago.

Neha on the other hand stars in the film Aafat-e-Ishq which released on Zee 5 today.
