Not Kangana Or Shraddha, But Nushrratt Bharuccha To Play Lead Role In Remake Of Amala Paul’s Aadai?

In October last year, rumors suggested that Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be stepping into Amala Paul’s shoes for the Hindi remake of her super hit film Aadai. Then a few months ago it was reported that Shraddha Kapoor has been offered the lead role in the film, not Kangana. However, producer Vishal Rana of Echelon Productions clarified that their company holds the official remake rights of the film and are yet to lock the cast. Well according to latest buzz, Nushrratt Bharuccha is now in talks with the makers for Aadai’s much-awaited Hindi remake.

A report shared by Pinkvilla states, “They wanted someone who is bold and will be up to take the risk. It's an A rated film with several bold scenes, including a completely nude scene. They had approached Shraddha Kapoor first but it didn't work out. Now, they have offered the film to Nushrratt Bharuccha who has liked the script. But what needs to be seen is how the team plans to shoot and execute it since it's a very tricky space to be in. They wanted a performer who can play the vivacious and the vulnerable with equal aplomb and Nushrratt fit their bill. But she is yet to sign on the dotted line because the modalities are currently being discussed.”

Amala portrayed the character of a bold and free-spirited girl in the critically acclaimed thriller drama. Reports suggest that the remake will be going on floors sometime next year. Well, it will be pretty exciting to see Nushrratt in such an interesting and complex role. What do you think?
