Nushrratt Bharuccha Reveals She Lost An International Project Because She Is ‘Pretty To Look Like Someone From The Slums’

Nushrratt Bharuccha has been a part of the industry for several years now. Though she might be known for her performances in Luv Ranjan’s films, her filmography is wider than that. She has been experimenting with her roles and had impressed many with her performance in Raj Mehta’s Khilauna which was a part of Ajeeb Daastaans. The actress played a househelp in this one. Now, in a recent interview, she has opened up about how she lost on an international project because of her looks.

Talking to Peepingmoon, the actress revealed, “I lost a very big film internationally because they said I am too pretty to look like someone from the slums and I was like 'Oh, okay' but you know what I mean, I don't think from that point of view. It’s almost like I’m starting this journey and I don’t know where it’s going to land up. How can you ever know? How can you think from a destination point of view when you don’t even know where the destination is? So, I can’t think like that. I feel like I’ll do a large disservice to the whole film and being an actor if I start thinking that if it’ll work or not.”

Well, it would have been interesting to see her in an international project as well, and we hope that after her performance in Khilauna, more opportunities will land at her feet!
