One Year Of Dream Girl: Nushrratt Bharuccha Celebrates The Milestone; Sends Hugs To Co-Star Ayushmann Khurrana

Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrratt Bharuccha have given many phenomenal performances in their acting careers. However, one of their best was definitely the 2019 blockbuster hit Dream Girl. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, the film follows the story of a cross-gender actor, played by Ayushmann, whose female voice impersonation leaves many male customers of a call-center falling head over heels in love. The film completes one successful year today and we are already waiting to see Ayushmann and Nushrratt shine together again!

While Ayushmann aka the OG Dream Girl shared a clip on his Instagram story, his co-star Nushrratt took to her official handle to celebrate the milestone with a special clip featuring her first shot, some behind the scenes fun and other beautiful memories from the set. Along with the video, the actress penned a caption which read: “#OneYearofDreamGirl 1 year already!? Time indeed flies! Hugs to @ayushmannk for being one of the best co-stars & @writerraj for being one of the best directors!! And @ektarkapoor, you know I love you!! Celebrating 1 year of #DreamGirl.”

After the success of Dream Girl, Ayushmann went on to win hearts with Bala, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Gulabo Sitabo and is currently taking a much needed break. Nushrratt, on the other hand, has two exciting films in her kitty at the moment. She will next share the screen with Rajkummar Rao in Hansal Mehta’s social black comedy Chhalaang, after which she will feature in Hurdang opposite Sunny Kaushal.
