Pahlaj Nihalani Hospitalised For 28 Days For Chronic Food Poisoning, Reveals Shatrughan Sinha Visited Him

Ex CBFC chief, Pahlaj Nihalani isn't doing too well. The director of many films had been hospitalised for almost a month and was released just yesterday. He was in Nanavati Hospiatl. In a recent interview, he opened up about suffering chronic food poisoning and even coughing up blood.

Talking to TOI, Pahlaj revealed, "One night at about 3 am, I felt a bit uneasy and vomited a lot of blood. I was advised hospitalisation. It was a case of chronic food poisoning but it was an emergency- and initially, I was kept in the ICU for about 5-6 days." He further added, "I thought I'd go home in 2-3 days after I was out from the ICU. But my temperature did not go down for the longest time, I was getting fever and a very bad stomach ache essentially in the evening, the diagnosis kept extending, and that became a matter of concern."

He also added that the matter was largely kept private and Shatrughan Sinha had come to the hospital and visited the director while he was recovering. All his family members did not want him to be disturned, which is why his phone was even kept off. We wish him a speedy and quick recovery.
