Pankaj Tripathi On His Character In Richa Chadha Starrer Shakeela: “I Am Playing A Clean, Flamboyantly Dressed Superstar”

Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi are undoubtedly two of the most talented and versatile actors of the Hindi film industry. They win hearts each time they shine on the big screen and when they come together, it’s magic! Well much to our delight, the two are all set to reunite on-screen in their next film Shakeela. Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, the much awaited project is based on the life of popular adult film actress Shakeela.

While Richa is playing the titular character, Pankaj will be seen as South superstar Saleem in the film. Talking about his exciting role in a chat with IANS, the supremely talented actor shared, “I am playing a clean and flamboyantly dressed superstar named Saleem, who has the superstardom of a hero. He is either unpredictable or tries to do a performance of unpredictability. He is a superstar who acts on-screen and off-screen. I had fun.”

Shakeela is all set to hit theatres on 25^th December and we are super excited to see Pankaj in such a different role. Well other than Shakeela, Pankaj also has many other exciting projects lined up including biographical drama Kaagaz, ‘83 co-starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Mumbai Saga. That’s not all! The actor has also been roped in for an important role in Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey.
