Paresh Rawal on Hungama 2: ‘If you have a wife looking like Shilpa Shetty, any husband would be insecure’

Remember Paresh Rawal’s character Radheshyam Tiwari in the 2003 film Hungama? He was one of the most entertaining characters of the cast who left us in splits with every single one of his hilarious expressions. Well, 18 years later, Priyadarshan is returning with the spiritual sequel of the comedy titled Hungama 2. The cast now comprises of new characters portrayed by Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash, but much to our delight, Rawal will be returning to reprise his beloved role.

In a recent chat with Mid Day, the versatile actor revealed what sets Priyadarshan apart from other filmmakers. He was quoted saying, “Priyadarshan’s comedies have innocence to them; there is nothing vulgar about them. Also, he has a keen sense of economics and will never overshoot [the budget]. He knows how much leeway to give to his actors. As a result of these factors, the experience of working with him becomes unmatchable.”

According to the trailer, Paresh will be playing the role of Shilpa’s on-screen husband, who is insecure, jealous and is convinced that she is having an affair with Meezaan. Talking about the same, Paresh shared, “If you have a wife looking like Shilpa Shetty, any husband would be insecure. What I like the most about her is that she is so passionate about her work.”

Well, we can’t wait to see this comedy when it finally premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on 23^rd July. Are you excited?
