Parth Samthaan Confirms His Bollywood Debut; Reveals Project Is Under Pre-Production Right Now

Back in October last year, Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay went off air. While some reports stated that it was due to the drastic decrease in ratings amid the coronavirus pandemic, others suggested that it was because lead actor Parth Samthaan wanted to quit and focus on his Bollywood debut. While that may not be the reason, the actor has now confirmed that he has in fact signed his first film. Sadly, due to the COVID-19 situation things are getting delayed, but Parth is hoping for the best.

Talking about his Bollywood debut in an interview with Spotboye, the actor shared, “It is true and I will be shooting for it this year itself. And really very excited for it and keeping my fingers crossed. The film is under pre-production right now. You know how it is for an outsider to come and everything should fall in place. Be it the director, music director everything should be nice. You get that one big opportunity and you really don't want to miss that out so I want to give my hundred percent towards it and I want to make sure that everything works out well.”

Earlier reports had claimed that Parth will be making his debut in the Hindi film industry opposite Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming biographical crime film Gangubai Kathiawadi. However, it was later reported that the role had been bagged by Shantanu Maheshwari. Rumors once again began about another project, also with Alia. Well, we’ll just have to wait for the team to divulge some details! Meanwhile, Parth is busy gearing up for his upcoming web series, Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu, in which he will be seen as a gangster.
