Parth Samthaan Will Not Be A Part Of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Alia Bhatt Starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi

The very handsome Parth Samthaan, who has been winning hearts as Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor’s super hit show Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has been making headlines since the past few weeks. First it was because he tested positive for coronavirus, then it was announced that he’s quitting Kasautii Zindagii Kay because the focus has shifted to Mr Bajaj aka Karan Patel and Prerna aka Erica Fernandes’ track. Well recently he became the talk of the town after it was speculated that he will make his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Featuring Alia Bhatt in the lead, the biographical crime film is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Gangubai Kothewali, madam of a brothel in Kamathipura. Well according to the latest report shared by Bollywood Hungama, sources close to the filmmaker don’t understand where this speculation has come from. A source was quoted saying, “It is a very suspicious leak because it was orchestrated to show up all over the internet simultaneously. Anyway to cut a long story short, there is no truth to it.”

While Parth will not begin his journey in Bollywood with Gangubai Kathiawadi, the film does mark actor and choreographer Shantanu Maheshwari’s debut on the big screen. He will reportedly be seen playing the role of Alia’s on-screen boyfriend Ramnik Lal.
