Payal Ghosh Claims She Tweeted About Anurag Kashyap Harassing Her During Me Too, Took It Down In Favour Of Her Career

Actress Payal Ghosh’s allegation of sexual misconduct on filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has blown all over the internet. Opening up in the Me Too spirit Payal has now explained how the alleged events unfolded and admits she had requested to meet Anurag as a way of building a professional relationship. The actress states that their first meeting was at his office post which they met at his place for a second time and on the third occasion the filmmaker allegedly tried to abuse her sexually.

Revealing all this and more while talking to Times Of India Payal was asked if she has way of proving her allegations and she claims, “I don't have any of his text messages as quite some time has rolled by and I have changed more than one phone since then. Neither I had recorded what happened at his house.”

The actress says that her parents have admonished her about opening up about the alleged incident and she was repeatedly warned against saying anything in the past. The Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi actress also revealed how she got out of the situation back then and told the publication,  “I did not raise an alarm but pleaded with him that he should let me go as I would return again some other time," and added that returned to his texts asking her to come over after that.

Payal also mentioned how she had tweeted about the incident once but she took down the tweets after being advised to take them down in favour of her career by her manager and others. She says she was blocked by Anurag Kashyap on Whats App thereafter.
