Priyanka's Mother Confirms That Siddharth-Ishita's Marriage Has Been Called Off!

Rumours are have been doing the rounds that actress Priyanka Chopra’s brother’s wedding with girlfriend and fiancé Ishita Kumar might have been called off.  After a Roka ceremony earlier this year, Priyanka had welcomed Ishita into the family. She was supposed to tie the knot with Siddharth Chopra by the end of April. It was also said that Priyanka had come to India to attend the wedding. However, it did not take place.

While some claimed that the wedding might have been postponed, Ishita recent picture with the caption, “Cheers to new beginnings. With a goodbye kiss to beautiful endings”, raised suspicion. Her parents also commented on her post, extending their full support. In fact, none of the pictures from her Roka ceremony or bridal shower are visible on her social media account anymore.

Now Priyanka Chopra and Siddharth Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra has also broken her silence. Talking to Pinkvilla, she confirmed that Siddharth and Ishita’s marriage has indeed been called off. In a statement, she said,

"They (Siddharth and Ishita) have mutually called it off." 

However, she did not reveal any reason for calling off the wedding.

This is the second time Siddharth’s marriage has been called off at the last moment. In 2014, Siddharth was all set to get married to his then-girlfriend in a destination wedding in Goa. However, after getting engaged, the wedding was called off.
