    Probe Begins On Kangana Ranaut's Alleged Drug Links, Mumbai Police Confirms Receiving Orders From Home Ministry

    Actress Kangana Ranaut’s tussle with the Maharashtra government is piling up trouble for her. Mumbai Police has transferred State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s request to conduct a drug probe on Kangana to the Crime Branch and the investigation in the case has started.

    Mumbai Police confirmed receiving a letter from the Home Ministry to Mid-Day. Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh told the publication, "An assurance has come from the Home Department so following that the investigation has been initiated by the Mumbai crime branch."

    The investigation was ordered by the Maharashtra state Home Ministry based on an interview given by Kangana’s former boyfriend Adhyayan Suman who stated that not only did the actress consumed drugs, she also forced him to do it.

    According to State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh the request for a drug probe on Kangana came from MLAs Sunil Prabhu and Pratap Sarnaik. The actress had also responded to the claims of her having drug links and in a tweet and welcomed the investigation saying, “I am more than happy to oblige @MumbaiPolice @AnilDeshmukhNCP please do my drug tests, investigate my call records if you find any links to drug peddlers ever I will accept my mistake and leave Mumbai forever, looking forward to meet you.”

    A video of the actress shared in March on her Instagram handle has also gone viral where she can been seen confessing that she was addicted to drugs once because the ‘movie mafia made her do it.
