    Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya Director Rajat Mukherjee Dies In Jaipur, Manoj Bajpayee, Hansal Mehta Mourn The Loss

    Rajat Mukherjee, director of Fardeen Khan and Urmila Matondkar starrer Pyaar Tune Kiya passed away in Jaipur on July 19. The filmmaker was in his hometown ever since the lockdown was announced and was reportedly in and out of the hospital due to kidney related ailments.

    The filmmaker also directed the films Road and Love In Nepal. Bollywood celebs including Hansal Mehta, Manoj Bajpayee and Anubhav Sinha shared the sad news of his demise and remembered their dear friend. Hansal recalled how in their early days they struggled together in Bollywood and said he would miss him. He wrote, "Just got news about the passing away of a dear friend. Rajat Mukherjee director of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Road was a friend from our early, early struggles in Bombay. Many meals, many bottles of Old Monk consumed. Many more to consume in another world. Will miss you dear friend."

    Manoj Bajpayee expressed his disbelief at the news and said he can’t believe they never again will get the opportunity to meet or even discuss work together. His tweet read - "My friend and director of Road ,Rajat Mukherjee passed away in the early hours today in Jaipur after a long battle with illness!!! Rest in peace Rajat !!Still can’t believe that we will never meet or discuss our work ever again.khush reh jaha bhi reh.”

    Anubhav Sinha said the filmmaker passed away all too soon.
