Rajkummar Rao Debunks Rumours Of Being In Dilemma To Play A Gay Character Or Turning Down Dostana 2

Rajkummar Rao is hands down one of the best Bollywood actors today. He can ace any role that is thrown to him and there is probably nothing that he can not play. However, it was being said that the actor is not too sure about playing a gay character. This rumour started doing the rounds during Dostana 2 when it was being said that this dilemma was the primary reason why he backed out of the project. Now, Rajkummar himself has addressed the rumour.

In an interview with Mid Day, he debunked it and was actually surprised that something like that was doing the rounds. He said, “Someone said I didn’t want to play a gay character? I would love to play all kinds of roles and be part of different stories. I have played a goofball, a terrorist, a lawyer and so on. There’s no part I will decline. Right now, I am so excited about my line-up of movies.”

In fact, he would reportedly play a gay cop in his upcoming film Badhaai Do. It is being rumoured that the film would be about lavender marriage- where Bhumi Pednekar would play a lesbian woman, who works as a PT teacher.
