Rajkummar Rao To Collaborate With Dream Girl Director Raaj Shaandilya In Two Films, One To Revolve Around Male Surrogacy!

Rajkummar Rao has been a one of those stars who have been unstoppable. Every year, he gifts us with beautiful films, that are loved and appreciated by one and all. While in 2018, he popularised the genre of horror comedy with his fantastic performance in Stree, he gave us films like Judgementall Hai Kya and Made In China this year. As we are gearing up for Roohi Afza where we would see him opposite Janhvi Kapoor, we have some good news for fans. He is in talks for two films where he would collaborate with Dream Girl director and writer, Raaj Shaandilya and one of them would be about male surrogacy!

Yes, you read that right. The first film though would be a comedy of errors. Raaj would pen down the script and it would be produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It would be directed by debutant Ishrat R. Khan, who has earlier assisted Annes Bazmi. According to Mumbai Mirror, a source was quoted saying, “When Ronnie, Raaj and Ishrat narrated the script to Rajkummar, he loved the comedy of errors. He has already given his nod to the project, the formalities will be completed by January.” The film would go on floors mid 2020 and the makers are eying a late 2020 release. Other than this, he would work in another film written by Raaj which ‘is a social comedy which revolves around male surrogacy.’

Apart from these two, Rajkummar has three releases lined up. He would be a part of Chhalang opposite Nushrat Bharucha, Roohi-Afza alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Anurag Basu’s next where he would be seen romancing Fatima Sana Shaikh! Stree 2 is also on the cards!
