Raksha Bandhan: Akshay Kumar And Bhumi Pednekar To Reunite After Toilet: Ek Prem Katha For This Aanand L. Rai Film?

Akshay Kumar has been quite excited about his upcoming film with Aanand L. Rai, Raksha Bandhan. The film was announced last year and Akshay was to start shooting for this one a few months back, but the shoot was delayed due to the second wave of coronavirus. Now, it looks like the shoot of the film would resume soon. What's more- the makers seem to have found their leading lady and it is none other than Bhumi Pednekar.

According to a report in ETimes, Bhumi Pednekar would be reuniting with her Toilet: Ek Prem Katha co-star Akshay Kumar for the film. Yes, she seems to have been zeroed in as the leading lady for the project. A source said, A source says, "Bhumi has received the offer. She has loved the role and agreed in principle. The modalities are fast being worked out." This would be the third collaboration between Akshay and Bhumi after Toilet and Durgamati, which was presented by Akshay.

The report also suggests that the film is ready to go on floors by June 2021. No official confirmation of the same has been made yet. But we hope that this turns out to be true.
