Rakul Preet Singh: ‘I have never believed in the insider-outsider theory; found the industry very accepting’

The gorgeous Rakul Preet Singh began her journey in the entertainment world with the South film industry before making her Bollywood debut with Yaariyan. However, it was in 2019 that she rose to prominence in the Hindi film industry with Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s De De Pyaar De. The audience saw her in a different light and fell in love with her. Currently the beauty is soaring high on the success of her recent release, Sardar Ka Grandson, opposite Arjun Kapoor. Rakul’s journey was not easy, but she does not feel that her being an ‘outsider’ in the industry has anything to do with in.

In a recent interview with ETimes, the actress was quoted saying, “I have never believed in the insider-outsider theory. This is a debate that started only recently. I believe that only talent will help you last longer at the end of the day. People will give you an opportunity if you are hard-working and talented. I have found the industry very accepting. Let’s face it, having contacts can help you get an opportunity, but it is the audience that accepts or rejects you.”

Talking about juggling work in the Hindi as well as South film industry, Rakul shared that she has stopped thinking of her projects in terms of their language as there are no borders anymore. She went on to add, “I am yet to do the typical naach-gaana in Hindi films and I want to do that while balancing it with the other kind of cinema. I don’t find it tough to balance both industries, as I am a workaholic.” Rakul feels a lot more can be done if one is organized, knows time management and has the desire to do something. Well, with this passion, we know for sure that the actress will touch heights!
