Rakul Preet Singh had been grabbing headlines in the last few months for signing an OTT project where she will play a condom tester. She had expressed her excitement on being offered something this hatke and she also revealed how she immediately said yes to it. However, looks like fans won't be able to see her in this avatar anytime soon. That's because the project, which was reportedly titled Chhatriwali, has been shelved.

According to a source quoted by FreePressJournal, “The digital space is no longer what it was six months ago. Unlimited freedom of expression is a thing of the past. Content providers in the OTT space are being cautious. Given the scenario, a film with certain bold elements might not be the best of ideas. So, for now this project is on hold.”

Another report in Bollywood Hungama revealed that RSVP decided to pull the plugs on this project because of the failure of Helmet. It stated that Helmet, which was around the same subject, failed to attract people and that is why RSVP is sceptical about going ahead with Chhatriwali, which is also aimed to create awareness around condoms. Well, while fans might be disappointed about not being able to see this quirky social drama, there's is still Raaj Shandilyaa's Janhit Mein Jaari starring Nushrratt Bharuccha that will see her play a condom sales executive.
