Akshay Kumar has immersed himself in work and the actor has been on a film signing spree ever since he resumed work post lockdown. One of his upcoming films also happens to be Ram Setu, a film reportedly on the journey of a man who is out to discover if it is a myth or a reality. Now, we are hearing that the release date of the film has been finalised.

If a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, then Ram Setu would be releasing on Diwali 2022. A source said, "Akshay Kumar has booked Diwali 2022 weekend for Ram Setu. The plan is to begin shooting by mid-2021. The majority of the film will be shot in the birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya!"

Well, there is no official confirmation of the same, but it is known to us all that Akshay Kumar films generally release on a holiday and this can very much be a possibility. Interestingly, the film was announced on Diwali this year. Akshay has a lot of films lined up. His upcoming films include Sooryavanshi, Bell Bottom, Prithviraj, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Pandey and Raksha Bandhan. He might also be seen in Jagan Shakti's next, Mission Lion, a comedy with Priyadarshan and the adaptation of Amish Tripathi's novel Legend Of Suheldev.
