Ranbir Kapoor & Rajkumar Hirani's Next Collaboration Not PK 2? Here's What We Know

Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani created magic on screen with Sanju which turned out to be a blockbuster three years ago in 2018. Both Ranbir and Rajkumar Hirani have since the film’s release not come out with another project and fans are dying to see more of their work.

Well, while Ranbir has been in the news for a slew of upcoming projects, Rajkumar Hirani is said to be preparing for his upcoming film collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan on an immigration drama set in Canada. In between rumors also went viral that Ranbir and the filmmaker are all set to collaborate again and the project is PK 2.

Ranbir was seen in the cliffhanger ending of Aamir Khan starrer PK as an alien but the makers never followed up on the idea. Now, a Pinkvilla report has claimed that Ranbir and the Munnabhai filmmaker have plans to collaborate but the project is not PK 2 but something else entirely.

A source close to the portal has suggested that the filmmaker had pitched an original film idea to Ranbir while they were filming Sanju and the actor apparently loved it. The project is another classic social comedy-drama according to the report and the actor and director are all set to begin work on it as soon as Hirani’s film with Shah Rukh Khan is all wrapped up.

The report also claims that Ranbir like SRK was also pitched the immigration drama by Hirani but since the film needed a senior actor the Pathan star was taken to be the better fit.

Rajkumar is said to be busy work on the second half of his SRK project so he can take the film on floors. Meanwhile, Ranbir has his hands full with Brahmastra, Animal, Luv Ranjan’s rom-com and Shamshera.
