Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt And Vaani Kapoor Starrer Shamshera Shoot Postponed, To Resume After Mid August

It looks like we would have to wait for quite some time now to see Ranbir Kapoor on the big screens again. The actor was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju. He has quite a few upcoming releases. Amongst these, Bhrahmastra and Shamshera were announced years back. Shamshera would have probably released this month itself, had the lockdown not happened. And now, the film, which was to resume shoot by 1st August, would have to wait a while to go on floors again.

According to a report in TOI, the film would now go on floors after mid-August instead of the beginning of the month. The report mentions that Ashok Dubey (General Secretary, FWICE) confirmed the delay and said, "Yes, there has been a delay by a fortnight as far as 'Shamshera' is concerned. The shoot for its remaining portions will now begin around August 15." The film would be wrapped up soon if it resumes and only some patchwork is left.

The film would be a dacoit drama set in the 1800s and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a double role in this one. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor opposite him and Sanjay Dutt. We hope that the makers announce the new release date soon.
