Ranveer Singh Shares Pankaj Tripathi’s First Look As PR Man Singh From 83; Calls Him ‘The Backbone Of Team India’

One of the most awaited films of the year, Kabir Khan’s directorial ‘83 is all set to hit theatres on 10^th April 2020. Featuring Ranveer Singh, Harrdy Sandhu, Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Saqib Saleem among others, the sports drama follows legendary cricketer Kapil Dev’s life as well as his journey of how he became the captain of the Indian national cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. While it was already announced that Ranveer will play Dev’s role, the makers have now shared the first look of all actors.

Today, the Bajirao Mastani star took to his social media handle to introduce us to Pankaj Tripathi’s character PR Man Singh. He was the manager of the Indian team that won the 1983 World Cup and also managed the team which reached the 1987 World Cup semi-finals. Along with the first look picture, Ranveer wrote: “THE CHIEF !!! His tireless devotion led Kapil’s Devils to the ultimate glory! The Backbone of Team India. The best ‘Man’ Manager of all ! Interestingly, ‘83 will not only mark Deepika’s second production venture but also is her first film opposite husband Ranveer Singh after they got married. She will be portraying the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia.
