Rhea Chakraborty Arrested: Lawyer Satish Manshinde Says She's Been Hounded Because 'She Was In Love With A Drug Addict'

Three days after extensive grilling by the Narcotics Control Bureau actress Rhea Chakraborty, the prime accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case has finally been arrested by the central agency after finding evidence linking her to drug consumption and purchase. Rhea’s brother Showik  and Sushant’s staff members Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant were already taken into custody.

The actress who arrived at the NCB office this for the third consecutive day this morning is now being sent for medical examination and will be produced before a court by the agency later. Rhea’s lawyer Satish Manshinde has issued a statement after the actress’s family was informed of her arrest and said, “Travesty of justice. 3 central agencies hounding a single woman just because she was in love with a drug addict who was suffering from mental health issues for several yrs & committed suicide due to consumption of illegally administered medicines, drugs.”

Earlier, KPS Malhotra, Deputy Director, Narcotics Control Bureau in a statement confirmed the actress’s arrest and said, “Rhea has been arrested and due process of informing the family has been completed.”

Rhea had earlier in her interview denied consuming drugs but had amitted that her deceased boyfriend Sushant was addicted to marijuana and wanted him to quit. She also claimed that Sushant had been smoking marijuana much before she came into his life since his days of shooting the 2018 film Kedarnath.

There are reports suggesting that the NCB will not just stop here and in the coming days many more Bollywood celebrities will be called in for questioning to bust the bigger drug nexus in Bollywood.
