Rhea Chakraborty Gets Mobbed By Media Outside NCB Office, Celebs Appalled At Reporters Endangering Lives

Actress Rhea Chakraborty is being questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau after her brother Showik Chakraborty was taken in custody and reportedly confessed that he procured drugs on Rhea’s insistence. While everyone awaits to see if Rhea too will be taken into custody the actress had another battle to fight as she arrived at the NCB office and was mobbed by reports and camera persons and struggled to find her way in.

The actress has been perpetually complaining to the media’s rough behavior with her and her family and even sought police protection. Now after videos of her getting mobbed surfaced on the internet, Many Bollywood celebrities have condemned the media for not following social distancing norms and quite literally falling on to the actress to get footage and ask questions to which they know there won’t be answers.

Richa Chadha on the video of Rhea getting mobbed wrote, ‘Social-distancing jaye bhaad mein.’ Hansal Mehta too issued a reminder simply writing ‘Social distancing’ as he shared the footage on Twitter.

Actor Ashwin Mushran wrote, ‘This just is appalling! Absolute bloodlust’ while Gauahar Khan shamed the media for mobbing the actress, “I haven’t seen the worst of the criminals being treated like this even after being convicted! Let there be a trial !!! Absolutely disgusted with the way the media is treating her !”

Filmmaker Kunal Kohli demanded that the media personnel at the venue be arrested,” The police officers, private security guards & #Rhea are under #covid threat from these so called reporters. @MumbaiPolice should take action against these reporters for endangering the lives of their officers & breaking social distancing rules.”

Rhea Chakrborty looks obviously distressed in the footage. The actress has seen some support in the matter from the CBI who requested the Mumbai Police to offer police protection to the family a few days back and there was heavy police patrolling outside her home today as she prepared to leave for the NCB office.

The mob behavior outside the NCB office has however shocked many.
