Richa Chadda Was Offered A Role In Sandra Bullock Starrer Bird Box, Here’s Why She Gave It A Miss!

Richa Chadda is one of those Bollywood actresses who are known for their offbeat choice of films and who has already left an indelible mark in the industry. She is also one of the underrated actresses in the industry and fans are dying to see more of her on-screen.

Just like boyfriend Ali Fazal, the actress wants to explore the west and give Hollywood a try as well. Talking to a popular news portal, the actress revealed,

"It takes time. I have been doing 2-3 films a year. When Ali (Fazal) had a break, he was able to audition and spend time in LA. I don't have that time. I might go and do it in Jan." 

It is then that the actress revealed that she also had offers. She revealed that she was being offered to audition for a role in the Netflix film, The Bird Box, that had Sandra Bullock in the lead. She said,

"It is not like I haven't had offers. There was a character offer for me in this Netflix movie, Bird Box, the Sandra Bullock film. I had the opportunity to test for it. But it all comes down to availability. It was not the main role. The main role was always Sandra Bullock. But I was shooting for something here so it becomes complicated."

She also said that if she works in the West, she would prefer it to be worth her while.

"I don't want to do it just for the sake of it. I don't want to be in a film just for Indian representation. It has to be something worth my while. I will be going to abroad. I will at least need two months with Bollywood. Right now I don't have two months or otherwise, I'd have taken a holiday with my boyfriend."

Richa has a number of releases now. She will be seen in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwary’s Panga alongside Kangana Ranaut. She has given her nod to Anubhav Sinha's Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai and also has Shakeela biopic in the pipeline! SHe will also be a part of Inside Edge 2.
