Richa Chadha On Ali Fazal's Silence Over Her Defamation Case: I Am Capable Of Handling It On My Own

Richa Chadha recently won a legal battle against actress Payal Ghosh. The Fukrey actress slapped Payal with a defamation suit after her name was dragged in a Me Too allegation along with a few other actresses from the industry. Payal went on give a written unconditional apology to the actress in front of the Bombay High Court which Richa openly shared the details of the case on social media. All through this case Richa’s boyfriend and actor maintained silence and never addressed the case anywhere.

Richa has now opened up about Ali’s silence on the matter and said that the actor didn’t need to react to show support.  She tells ETimes, “Ali and I barely spoke about the case, but I kept him updated. He was marked on several of my emails. We are in a lovely relationship, and we give each other space. There’s mutual respect, and of course, love and companionship. He didn’t need to jump to my rescue. I am capable of handling it on my own and I also had a sound legal team. Through this legal fight, and otherwise, he has always been supportive and been there for me. His support is a given.”

Richa and Ali were supposed to tie the knot earlier in 2020 but like everything else their wedding got pushed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
