Rishi Kapoor Admitted To The Hospital, Concerned Fans Pray He Recovers Soon

Rishi Kapoor has spent over a year in New York getting treated for cancer. The veteran Bollywood star has been back in India for some time now and has been admitted to the hospital in Mumbai after a relapse and complaints of breathing difficulty.

The new was confirmed by his elder brother Randhir Kapoor who also said that the ailing actor has wife Neetu Kapoor by his side and he is now stable. The reports hit the fans hard and no sooner than the update on his health broke fans have been posting notes for the actor on social media praying for his speedy recovery.

It was around this time last year that the actor was declared cancer free and the family had confirmed the same. The actor spent some time on remission but after his return to India the actor was again admitted to a hospital in Delhi after he had an infection in February.

Speaking about being away from the big screen all this time due to his treatment Rishi had candidly told Hindustan Times last year, “I miss working more than ever now. I’ve never had such a big break in my life and I’ve been working for 45 years. By the time I get back (from new York), it will be 11 months and it has been very long. But in a way, I feel very fresh and geared up to do any kind of work. My batteries are all charged and I’m looking forward to facing the camera. I just hope I haven’t forgotten acting. Right now, I don’t know if my work will be welcomed or if people are going to trash me. When I was going through treatment, I had a few blood transfusions. And I told Neetu that I hope with the new blood, I haven’t forgotten acting.”
