Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani: Karan Johar announces his next starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh with a quirky post

Karan Johar began his journey in the film industry as an assistant director on Aditya Chopra's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, before making his smashing directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Over the years, the filmmaker took to the director’s chair for many super hits but majorly became a top producer. However, his first love was always creating eternal love stories from behind the lens. Much to our delight, our beloved KJo is now ready to make his way back home with his next film-- Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Karan took to his official handle to unveil the title of this ‘anokhi kahani’, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead, with a quirky announcement video. Along with the post, the filmmaker wrote: “Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favourite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. According to earlier reports, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is a romantic comedy. It marks Alia and Ranveer’s second film together after Zoya Akhtar’s award-winning super hit movie Gully Boy. Buzz also suggests that Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan will be beginning his journey in the film industry with this project as an assistant director.
