Roohi Star Janhvi Compares Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Universe To The Conjuring; Opens Up About Her 1st Dance Number

Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut in Bollywood with Dhadak in 2018, is all set to shine on the big screen with her second theatrical release Roohi. Co-starring the very talented Rajkummar Rao and the hilarious Varun Sharma, the horror comedy will be releasing in cinema halls next week on 11^th March. Directed by Hardik Mehta, it marks the second film in producer Dinesh Vijan’s ambitious horror universe after Stree. The trailer and the tracks have received lots of love from fans and the film is undoubtedly one of the most awaited releases of the year.

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Janhvi opened up about the horror universe. She was quoted saying, “It’s like The Conjuring, which has two three films in the same universe. They don’t have anything to do with each other, but they all are interrelated in the same universe. It’s a cool concept. I am a big fan of Stree, but this is a completely different movie, part of the same world. I hope people see it for itself as an individual film.”

Janhvi also opened up about her first dance number Nadiyon Paar, which released today. The foot tapping music and her killer dance moves are already trending on social media. The star kid shared that Vijan had this song and wanted it to be filmed on her. She was very excited and there was little time to prep for it. So Vijan gave her all the responsibility, made her the producer of the music video and told her to take care of it. Well, the final result was pretty great. Can’t wait to see how the film turns out!
