Saif Ali Khan Clarifies He Is Not The Reason Behind Sacred Games 2 Being Delayed

To say that we have been waiting for the second season of Sacred Games would be quite an understatement. Thanks to stellar performances and Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane’s smashing direction, the series has achieved somewhat of a cult status. Thus it almost feels like torture to wait this long for the second season to see the light of the day.

While the initial reports suggested that the delay was due to the unavailability of dates of actors, especially Saif Ali Khan, the star has denied all such claims. In a recent interview, Saif clarified, “How absurd would it be for Sacred Games to be delayed because we both are doing something else. Of course both of us (Saif and Nawazuddin) are busy. But not at the cost of our commitments.”

Another actor from the series, who did not wish to be named validated Saif’s claim. The actor revealed, “Netflix may have decided to move ahead the release date of Sacred Games 2. But not because of the actors. All of us have completed our work. The Saif track and the Nawaz track were separately directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and Anurag Kashyap, respectively to save time. If there is any delay in the release it’s got nothing to do with the actors.”

Well, we are glad to know that there are no issues with the dates of the actors, so can the makers please sort out whatever other issues are there and release the show fast. We are literally dying out of excitement here.
