Salman Khan is Bollywood royalty there’s no doubt about that. The actor has in over three decades of his career built himself into a brand that millions of fans worship. While he works hard to make his millions the actor did learn the value of money the hard way.

The book ‘Khantastic’ by Sanjukta Nandy based on the three Khans of Bollywood narrated an incident from Salman Khan’s childhood from when he lived in Indore with his family. The tale goes that Salman who was burning paper on Diwali with his brothers had also lit fire to his father Salim Khan’s entire salary.

That’s right! Salman had run out of paper to burn and apparently had gone to find some more in his father’s study. The actor found a stack of papers to burn between which was tucked Salim Khan’s salary of Rs. 750.

If you expect that Salman got a harsh punishment for what he did then let us tell you that Salim Khan instead calmly explained his children the value of money. The incident is said to have had a profound effect on the actor in learning the importance of money and boy did he make up for it growing up.

Gotta love Salim Khan as a parent, cause we know most of us wouldn’t have been as lucky getting away with something like that.
