Salman Khan Says Radhe Talks About Drug Problems But Isn't Related To NCB's Drug Probe

Salman Khan starrer Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is all set to release on Eid as promised by the star. Interestingly the film’s plot about the drug problem in Mumbai rings close to the Narcotics Control Bureau drug case which came to light after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death last year. The actor who plays a cop in the film, however, has clarified that the references to drugs in the film have nothing to do with the case.

“It has been a problem for a long time. Even before this drugs investigation took over Maharashtra, we had already completed shooting the film. But now it became relevant. I have always been against drugs. Here, people are misusing it. We have nieces and nephews who are very young and might get influenced,” Salman said in a virtual press conference for Radhe reports Zoom.

"As soon as you take it (drugs), you are done...your body and mind both will want it so you will have to be ten times stronger. But most of them don't have that in them to do that. Families go through problems, then siblings go through problems. So in Radhe we have touched upon this subject...a man who goes on to clean up the city,” the actor added.

Salman Khan’s Radhe will be releasing on a pay per view basis on OTT on 13 May and is the few theatres that remain open during the pandemic. The film also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Randeep Hooda, Gautam Gulati and others.
