Salman Khan To Not Sing Songs In Radhe; Film To Be On The Lines Of Amitabh Bachchan’s Zanjeer

Dabangg 3 saw Salman Khan in the role of a cop who keeps smiling no matter what. Well, he is a romantic and is also utterly mischievous but on the contrary Radhe – Your most wanted bhai will see Salman in a tough cop act again. Albeit this time, he doesn’t smile. This serious cop drama will see Salman Khan up in arms against the crimes committed in the city of Mumbai. And what’s more according to media reports, Salman Khan will not be mouthing any song in the film.

Bollywood Hungama quotes a source a saying “Not this time,” The source is further quoted in the same story as saying, “Radhe is far more raw and real than Dabangg. This time Salman plays a cop in Mumbai who won’t treat crime and criminals lightly. The cop has nothing to feel happy about. In that sense, he is like Amitabh Bachchan Saab in Zanjeer. Very angry sullen and no-nonsense.”

One-point worth taking note of is Amitabh Bachchan’s role in Zanjeer was first offered to Dev Anand and Raj Kumar but the two of them said no point-blank to the film because the hero will not be singing any songs in the film. However, Salman Khan didn’t have any such problem with the script of the film and was happy t oblige to the terms and conditions.

Another important point to be taken note of is, Salman Khan is almost busy to the brim with work. He just completed Dabangg 3 and then started Radhe and now there are reports about him busy with the shoot for another film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Bollywood Hungama also stated that another film that is with Salman Khan will be an Indianized version of Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones.

The report further quotes a source as saying, “What will remain the same is the love of the outdoors. Like Harrison Ford, Salman will play a professional exploring virgin territory for various adventures. The spirit of the Indiana Jones films will remain intact. For long now, Salman has wanted to do something adventurous rugged and outdoors. An Indianized Indiana Jones is just what the doctor prescribed.”

Well, this could be Salman Khan’s debut in the OTT space.
