Salman Khan’s Radhe, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi And Varun Dhawan’s Coolie No 1 To Clash On Diwali?

Life for all of us has changed after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Not only have we been locked at home for months now with a partial lift in some places, but we know that things will not be the same again for a very long time. In fact, places where masses can gather, like a cinema hall, would take longer to have the turnout that is generally expected. Film shoots have been stalled as well and all the release schedule of films have become a hotchpotch. There was no Sooryavanshi at Gudi Padwa or Radhe on Eid. But looks like they might clash at the box-office on Diwali, along with Coolie No. 1.

According to Mid-Day, a source was quoted saying, “Sooryavanshi, Radhe and Coolie No 1 are massy entertainers with action, emotion and drama — the kind of films that people enjoy watching during the biggest festival of the year." They are expecting normalcy to return by then, since it is six months down the line. However, given that the industry has incurred huge loss due to the lockdown, many trade analysts are advising to not release more than two films in one week.  A distributor added, “Diwali is the safest bet for big movies. But, producers should not consider releasing more than two films as they will eat into each other's profits."
