Salman Khan’s Radhe To Release On Bakri Eid Weekend In July If Not May? Here’s What We Know

Around this time last year, the citizens of our country were sitting at home amid the nationwide lockdown, wondering when and if we will ever be able to return to our normal lives. Well, things improved over time but many cities are now imposing a partial lockdown or night curfews again. Thankfully, theatres are still open for movie lovers and one of the most awaited Bollywood films which is on its way to the big screens is Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.

The superstar had announced that the film will hit theatres on May 13th on the occasion of Eid as promised. However, reports now suggest that due to the current hike in COVID cases and the pandemic situation, Radhe’s release date may be postponed. A source told Pinkvilla that the team will re-analyze at the end of April but added, “Realistically speaking, Eid release in May looks hazy.” But there is one good news! Even if the film misses the Eid weekend in May, makers will try to release Radhe on the Bakri Eid weekend in July.

The source explained, “That’s exactly what Salman meant when he said, ‘Yeh Eid Nai, Toh Agle Eid Par Ayenge’. The makers have kept that option open and given the uncertain times, multiple plans are been churned out at the moment. It might release on July 16, to reap benefit of extended weekend, or be a mid-week release on occasion of Bakri Eid holiday on July 20/21. A final call on exact date isn’t take, but they are looking at the Bakri Eid weekend to bring Radhe.”

The report also revealed that there are no discussions of premiering the film on a digital platform. Also starring Jackie Shroff, Radhe will feature Disha Patani as Salman’s on-screen love interest and Randeep Hooda as the antagonist.
