Satyameva Jayate 2: Release Date Of John Abraham Starrer Pushed Yet Again; Will Not Clash With Salman’s Radhe

Back in 2019, the release dates of many upcoming Bollywood films was shared by the filmmakers, which left movie lovers super excited. However, a year later most of these projects were pushed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. One of these much-anticipated films was John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate 2 which was scheduled to hit theatres on 2nd October 2020. When things improved significantly and the country reopened, the team announced that the film will release on 12th May. This was later pushed to 14th before John confirmed that Satyameva Jayate 2 will arrive in theatres on 13th May.

Sadly, makers are now rethinking the release date as cinemas in many areas have been shut down amid the pandemic. A report in Mid Day has revealed that John’s vigilante action film won’t be able to make it to theatres on Eid. A source was quoted saying, “Even with the ongoing vaccination drive, it will take some time for the situation across the country to normalise. The makers are firm about supporting the theatre business through their actioner, and hence, have not pursued a conversation with OTT platforms about its digital premiere despite getting lucrative offers.”

Makers have shared a statement confirming the same, which reads, “In these unprecedented times, nothing matters more than the safety and health of our countrymen and patrons. Our film will now release on a later date.” For the uninitiated, Satyameva Jayate 2 was set to clash with Salman Khan’s much awaited Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai, which is also an actioner. Fans will be heartbroken as they were eagerly looking forward to the release. Let’s hope the situation improves and we get a new release date soon!
